Terms of use
These terms apply when you use valleyyardquotes.ca (the "site"), operated by Valley Yard Quotes ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What we do
Valley Yard Quotes is a matching service. Homeowners describe a job, and we pass the request to up to 3 independent landscaping companies that serve the area. We are not a landscaping company. We don't perform work, set prices, give quotes, take payment for jobs or supervise work.
Your agreement is with the company you hire
Any quote, contract or payment is strictly between you and the company you choose. We are not a party to that agreement and are not responsible for the company's work, pricing, timing, conduct, licensing, insurance, permits or warranties. Before hiring, we recommend you check the company's licence and insurance, read reviews, get the quote in writing and confirm any permits needed.
Free for homeowners
Requesting quotes is free and doesn't oblige you to hire anyone. Participating companies may pay us for matched requests. That payment doesn't affect the price a company quotes you.
Information on the site
Articles, cost ranges and other content are general information for budgeting and planning only. They are not professional, engineering or legal advice and are not quotes. Prices vary with your property and the work involved. Always check local rules, such as permits, tree bylaws or drainage requirements, with your municipality.
Using the site
Please give accurate information in your requests and don't submit false, abusive or spam requests, or requests on behalf of someone without their permission. Don't try to interfere with the site's operation or security. We may refuse or remove any request at our discretion.
For participating companies
Companies that join confirm that they hold the licences, insurance and coverage required for their work and will treat homeowners' information in line with privacy laws. Separate terms may apply to paid lead services.
Our content
The site's text, design and graphics belong to Valley Yard Quotes or are used with permission. You may share links to the site but may not copy or republish its content without permission.
Third-party links
The site may link to other websites. We're not responsible for their content or practices.
Limitation of liability
The site and service are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Valley Yard Quotes is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, from information on it, or from any dealings with companies you contact through it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
